How Far Would you Go to Make your dream come true?

How about helping to change the lives of inner city children by giving a kidney to a friend in need?

Las Vegas: Randy Warner is to say the least, an eccentric 50 + gent who lives his life his way, and will push himself (and others) to the limits make his dreams come true!
What is his dream? To start up and field the very first DCI Drum Corp in the city of Las Vegas –maybe even the entire state. It’s a year round adventure in music and more for kids that has been proven to be a life changing experience for many of us, born and raided in the inner cities across the county.

What’s a Drum Corp?

Well – if you have to ask – it’s hard to describe – but let’s just say – it’s kind of like a high-school marching band on steroids, add a 5th of hot sauce, the excellence in performance of a top Las Vegas Headliner. BUT it is really much much more…

It’s kids, over 5,000 of them participating every year, in 49 different organizations in 40 states across the country.

It’s Mom’s and Dad’s, sisters and brothers, rich, poor and everyone in between giving children an experience that will last a life time!

It’s corporations giving back to their communities in a way that no other organization can ever hope to accomplish

And finally – its individuals like you and I, who love our communities, and want to see our children do better in life. You know the energy and talent is there – they just need a way to funnel all that energy into making that talent come alive!

That’s some dream – it’s been tried before and failed in Las Vegas – but Randy is not one to simply try – he is wiling to do almost anything to bring this experience to life for the kids of Las Vegas and the surrounding areas!

He has done all the usual business preparation – Has become a Nevada Corporation, has filed with the Federal Government to be recognized as a 501c3 non-profit organization, (Federal EIN# 87-0810031

Nevada Corp #E0835902007-8) and put together his executive board and his board of directors – but there was something missing. He wanted more – he wanted as many of the best people from around the country to sit on his board – and so he gave a call to the legendary Drum Corp professional Tom Roe.

Tom was very excited for Randy, but informed him that there was no way that he could help out – as he was very ill, and in need of a kidney transplant. All the usual donors didn’t match – and because of his age, was on a very long list of those in need of a kidney. Without thinking twice, Randy said well, were can I go to be tested to be a donor?

To make a LONG story much shorter – Randy tested – and was found to be a perfect match – and so Tom Roe will be getting his kidney…from Randy – and Randy and the Las Vegas Marching arts will gain one of the most knowledgeable people in Drum Corps today for their board of directors.

Of course, there is much more to this story, much more to Randy Warner, and MUCH more to come from the Las Vegas Marching Arts organization. About Las Vegas Marching Arts: http://www.lasvegasmarchingarts.org/

LVMA, Inc. is a Nevada Corporation (#E0835902007-8, awaiting 501c3 approvals) that focuses on the enrichment of the current music programs in Las Vegas. Our goal is to bring society together by providing a safe, drug free environment for our young leaders of the future. The organization provides highly qualified educators who utilize the "Music Educators National Standards" to offer the utmost education for our children.

It takes the commitment of an entire community to assure that music is part of the core curriculum. Children engaged in music will be the innovation leaders of tomorrow, and there is no better way to build life-long participation in music than with a solid base of music education.

We could use volunteers, donations and almost everything imaginable for this endeavor. Let us know if you would like to offer time, money or much needed 'in kind' donations such as office products, office space, and of course, music instruments.
